It has been so lovely to see the sun this week it just makes everything feel so cheery! The trees have suddenly burst into colour and I have been planting out some spring flowers to make our garden look pretty, I think it must feel welcoming as we have a visitor, a female blackbird has moved in and made a nest in our wood shed right on the top of the wood pile.
My friend handmade Lizzy always says how much better homemade bread is so Mr C and I decided to try it, we collected all of the ingredients together and followed the instructions carefully. I am lucky that Mr C likes to get involved so he did the hard work kneading the dough! We are delighted with the result and plan to try to make time to make our own bread every weekend.
Enough rambling from me I must go and finish off taking photos for April’s Scavenger Hunt it is the first time I have joined in and I haven’t worked out how to upload them yet wish me luck as you wave me goodbye!! Rosemary xx
It was a busy weekend, my daughter B and I have been to London to choose her Prom dress. Gosh how quickly time goes it seems it was only yesterday when I was the centre of her world, we would spend our days going for walks and picking wild flowers, sitting in the garden reading and splashing around in the paddling pool on hot summer days with not a care in the world one of our favourite activities was to go strawberry picking and then come home and make a strawberry flan. When I think back to those carefree days! now it is all revision, exams and auditions it seems not a week goes by without B having something to worry about. It makes me realise just how special those times were, just enjoying each day together building treasured memories. I turned one day to reach for her hand and she was all grown up!
Hello you have found me or maybe you have stumbled across my blog by accident which is probably more likely anyway here goes!
I have been inspired to create a blog by my friend Homemade handmade lizzy who has been blogging for quite a while, I have found myself looking forward to her new posts and thought I might have a go myself.
Last weekend we went to one of my favourite places – Southwold and we had a windy walk along the beach looking out for the resident seal we often see splashing about but he must have been catching fish further down the coastline so we wandered back treating ourselves to fish and chips. On the way home I persuaded Mr C to venture into a wood and acquire a branch which we could use to create an easter display. Once home I made some crochet hearts and Mr C created some beaded eggs.
